Lockdown Literature 2.1

Hi folks,

Here is your next set of tasks. These need to be completed by Friday:

1) Complete this quiz on the chapters you have just read.  There are a couple of questions at the end that require a couple of sentences or a paragraph too. 

2) Watch the video below, in which Boris Johnson is questioned about his membership of The Bullingdon Club, an actual exclusive dining club for wealthy young men at Oxford University.

After watching the clip, write a sentence in the comment box (or in an email to me) making a link between the clip and Great Expectations. Or just offer me your reactions!

3) Finally, read Chapters 35 & 36 of Great Expectations. You could make Cornell Notes on these chapters if you like (Title: The Funeral (35) & Pip Comes of Age (36) - but this is optional on this occasion.

Hi folks,

Here's your next set of tasks (to be completed by Tuesday):

1) Complete this week's quiz on Chapters 31-32.

2) Have a go at this vocab quiz (based on the first vocab list I gave your for GE. I'll quiz you on the second list soon.

3) Read Chapters 33-34. Make Cornell notes under the title: Tea with Estella (33) & Mounting Debts (34)

4) Watch this video about how prisons changed in the Victorian era.


 
That will do for now. I'll send you some notes on Chapters 31 & 32 soon.
